Nils H. Thommessen established the foundation in the spring of 2026 and chairs its board. He is an impact investor and lawyer, investing in projects and companies with the potential and purpose to solve challenges for people, society and the environment. He serves on the board of Axonklinikken AS, alongside board positions in other companies in which he is invested.

Camilla Lindvall Dahlgren

Camilla Lindvall Dahlgren is a board member of the Axon Research Foundation and Professor of Psychology at Oslo New University College. With more than 17 years of experience, she is one of Norway's leading eating disorder researchers, and involved in several ongoing studies of psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Thale Waaler Eggen

PhD fellow at Inland Norway University, with a background in religious studies from the University of Oslo. Researches psychedelic practice at the intersection of religion, politics and health.

Lowan Stewart

Specialist in emergency medicine (MD) with more than 20 years of clinical experience. Founder and medical director of Axonklinikken, and a pioneer of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in the Nordic region.

Anniken Fjelberg

Associate Partner at Sprint Consulting with more than 30 years in strategy and branding. Has co-founded several companies, is an active investor, and has held leadership roles and board positions including the National Export Council and Virke.

David Erritzøe

Psychiatrist and Clinical Associate Professor in Psychopharmacology and Psychiatry at Imperial College London, where he heads the Centre for Psychedelic Research and the CIPPRes clinical research unit. MD and PhD from the University of Copenhagen, with a background in brain imaging at Columbia University.

John Maxfield Steineger

Physician and psychiatrist, retired major general and former Surgeon General of the Norwegian Armed Forces. Led the Armed Forces’ stress management team for international operations.

Akiah Astral Ottesen

Clinical psychologist specialising in trauma. Senior researcher at NORMENT (University of Oslo / Oslo University Hospital) and clinical head of the Trauma Centre at Psykologvirke.

Lars Lien

Professor of psychiatry at Inland Norway University. Leads the Trauma Research Group at INN. Specialist in psychiatry and public health. Former national director of NKROP (National Advisory Unit on Concurrent Substance Abuse Disorders and Mental Health). Published in JAMA Network Open, The Lancet and European Psychiatry.

Hanne Kristine Haarset

Specialist in clinical psychology with more than 20 years of experience in adult clinical and organisational psychology, specialising in trauma treatment. EMDR supervisor, former section head of veteran treatment at Moss DPS, and affiliated with the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies (NKVTS).
