About the book
A field brought together in Norwegian
The book integrates perspectives from psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience and psychotherapy, and addresses phenomenological, ethical and legal dimensions of the field. The authors are Ida Falchenberg and Thale Waaler Eggen, both affiliated with Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. The book will be published by Universitetsforlaget (Scandinavian University Press).
The primary audience is students on the continuing education programme in psychedelic therapy, but the book is also relevant to psychology, medicine, nursing and mental health work.
Topics range from historical development and pharmacology to the therapist's role, harm reduction, the patient perspective and implementation in health services.
The work is tied to teaching at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, so that formulations and teaching approaches can be tested along the way.
