Thale Waaler Eggen is a board member of Axon Research Foundation. She is a PhD fellow at Inland Norway University, with a background in religious studies from the University of Oslo.
Her research concerns the ritualised use of psychedelics, at the intersection of religion, politics and health. She is particularly interested in how cultural and ritual frameworks shape psychedelic experiences, and how these are understood in religious, therapeutic and healthcare settings.
She also serves on the board of the Norwegian Association for Psychedelic Science.
How we frame psychedelic experiences, culturally and ritually, is decisive for how they work and how they are integrated.
